Full range IMPACT
The Impact Series has a desirable high power capacity and clarity. Impact-X15ML is rated at 350W RMS (1400W peak) and the power spans down to a 50Hz low-end.For high frequency, a 1.75″ titanium diaphragm compression driver produces a powerful yet neutral sounding high end.Both the HF and LF drivers are custom engineered and are acoustically matched to the extremely durable MDF cabinet.
90° x 60° Elliptical Waveguide
For wide and smooth coverage a 90° x 60° elliptical waveguide has been selected.In real-world terms this means that the higher frequencies can be heard with definition at 90° in the horizontal plane, and 60° in the vertical.All full range models in the Impact-X series use this same elliptical waveguide design which makes for controllable coverage when using multiple Impact series loudspeakers.

IRIS X driver engineering
The coil size and electrical sensitivity of a loudspeaker transducer is critical to its performance. IMPACT-X loudspeakers now include our proprietary IRIS X design which delivers Increased coil Radius and Increased electrical Sensitivity.The radius of the coil ensures smooth heat dissipation during prolonged high volume use, while the increased electrical sensitivity ensures that the transducer converts as much electrical power into sound output as the laws of physics allow.A hot transducer wastes energy, risks damage and distorts. IRIS X reduces this through improved heat dissipation and improved efficiency. In real-world terms, IRIS X transducers deliver higher SPL with less distortion. Delta X builds on the global success of the Wharfedale Pro Delta series.
Constructed from 18mm plywood and covered in the highest quality Rhino Rock paint, the new Delta X218B is instantly recognisable by its engraved iconic Wharfedale Pro ‘boomerang’ logo on its surface. The fresh cosmetic design however is not the only improvement the engineering team have made in creating the Delta X series.
Internally Delta X models have a new crossover design and construction. Using new component positioning and bracing, the sensitive crossover electronics have been re-engineered to improve long term performance and reliability – even at the highest of volumes.
With rear panel switching, Delta X218 has Discrete and Parallel modes of operation. This allows to address each LF driver individually, or as a pair. This routing flexibility allows for Delta X systems to be refined using multiple amplifiers and external crossovers.
Custom Wharfedale Pro transducers have been selected. High output, low physical distortion cast frame woofers deliver unparalleled low frequency response. With the exception of the Delta X10, 2” titanium compression drivers are coupled to 90°x45° elliptical waveguides for impressive output level and smooth HF dispersion.
With a full lineup of 9 new models, ranging from the 300w RMS Delta X10 to the 1600w RMS Dual Chamber 2 x 18” Delta X218 subwoofer, Delta X models are perfect for fixed installation and touring applications.
